Opportutoring (OT) is an e-learning nonprofit organization providing one-on-one English tutoring to refugees around the world. Our goal is to help our students improve their English proficiency so they reach more opportunities. Our tutors are located in Montreal, London or Beijing while our students are often in Turkey or different countries in the European Union.
Only 1% of the world's refugees attend university compared to 34% worldwide.
What We Do To Help.
Tutoring
Our main activity is the tailored online 1-on-1 English tutoring lessons we provide our students several times a week.
Raise Awareness
One of OT's goal is to humanize the 'refugee crisis' and help raise awareness through empowering displaced people's own voices.
Support
We aim at empowering our students through sharing their art, campaigns as well general support towards their goals.
Educate
Our volunteers' growth is paramount to us, as we strive to provide them with new skills and the opportunity to hone their skills as educators.
